Three-step setup
- Create or sign in to your BLNDR account — the Brand tier unlocks Square sync.
- Open Settings → Integrations and click Connect Square.
- Approve the scopes on Square. You’re back in BLNDR and the setup wizard runs automatically.

ITEMS_READ
BLNDR reads your Square catalog so it can map recipes to items + variations — names, sizes, SKUs, locations.
ITEMS_WRITE
Required at runtime to flip track_inventory: true on matched variations whose tracking is off, so BLNDR's pushes can land. No other catalog edits — no product creation, no price or title changes, no deletion.
INVENTORY_READ
Snapshot current stock counts before every push so a bad sync is one click to revert.
INVENTORY_WRITE
When you commit a batch, finished candle stock rises in Square automatically. No double-entry, no copy-paste.

CONNECT
Sign in to BLNDR, open Settings → Integrations, click Connect Square. Approve the four scopes. You're back in BLNDR in 30 seconds.

CHANDLER reads a sample of your Square items and proposes a mapping strategy — by SKU pattern, by variation name, by size. You confirm or override.
MAKE BATCHES IN BLNDR
Recipes, wax math, COGS, pitcher math, oil drawdown — same as always. Square sync happens silently when you commit.
STAY IN SYNC
Finished stock pushes up. POS sales decrement Square natively, the inventory.count.updated webhook keeps BLNDR's view honest. Snapshots run before every push (Brand tier).

Your access token never sits in plaintext.
Square access tokens are AES-256-GCM encrypted before they hit our database. Encryption keys live outside the database perimeter. A database dump exposes ciphertext only.
We never request customer or payments scopes.
BLNDR only needs catalog + inventory permissions. No customer reads, no orders writes, no payments access. Full data handling is in our privacy policy.
